The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Technical Product Specialist to lead the development and communication of technical marketing material within each Production System. The role focuses on enhancing customer, dealer, and branch understanding of product and technology value. The Technical Product Specialist will play a crucial part in investigating and determining production system trends and requirements, ensuring that new products align with market needs. This role involves contributing technical expertise across marketing department processes.
Role Responsibilities:
  • Owns the local development and distribution of technical marketing material to dealers and customers. Specifically, this role owns technical information on the following platforms, Sales Manual, Brochures, New Product Launch Center, Value Selling Guides and Demo Guides.
  • Works with global product line contacts to gather, interpret and localize technical marketing material to support the Market Launch Plan (MLP).
  • Responsible for ensuring dealer and customer technical marketing material is available, accurate and updated in a timely manner.
  • Manages technical questions from dealers and customers, monitors enquiry trends and develops resources to address common questions.
  • Undertakes market research to develop insights about market trends and requirements. Communicates market requirements to Production Systems teams.
  • Using their knowledge of local market requirements, the role is responsible for the development of base product specification on the Master Product Availability (MPA) document during the branch pricing process.
  • Responsible for configuring and ordering Branch Limited Production Build equipment and managing LPB equipment audits.
  • Works with Training Manager and the Product Specialist role to discuss training needs for new products and training opportunities with Limited Production Build equipment.
  • Gathers, interprets, and analyses competitor products, Branch lost sales reporting and other competitive intelligence to development technical competitive comparison information for distribution to internal staff and dealers.
  • Supports the development of advertising campaigns by ensuring products are represented accurately from both a technical and application perspective.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical marketing, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams. Attention to detail, a proactive approach, and a deep understanding of market trends are essential for success in this role.
What Skills You Need
  • A passion for Agriculture and knowledge of agricultural products and their applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to analyse and interpret data to develop business strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Technical marketing expertise in the manufacturing or related industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into marketing and sales materials that resonates with our customers
  • Self-driven with the ability to take initiative, jump on and embrace challenges, including the new and unknown.
What Makes You Stand Out
  • Global collaboration experience.
  • Experience or a background within Agriculture will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with product marketing, product management, or similar marketing disciplines
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Education / Experience:
A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in technical marketing and project management is essential
