The role
Our Technical & Quality Product Specialist for Solar is a trusted category expert that delivers technical knowledge and support to internal and external customers on our Solar products, enhancing the competitiveness of our brand. They are the key liaison for our Global Technical Representatives and our manufactures, ensuring product integrity and enhancements that keep us competitive.
A highly collaborative function, you will work closely with wider FPA teams to develop, document and communicate our Solar product information into easily digestible training guides, packages, and service manuals for different audiences. You will be a key contact for our Product Development teams for all things Solar, including contributing to product concepts and future products and providing your opinions on them.
Your specialist focus will be Solar, however learning other categories and appliances will be part of your role.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is experienced in Solar products and installation and how it impacts on and benefits our homes. With extensive industry experience, you will be a strong influencer who can operate and engage at all levels of the organisation. You will love a good spreadsheet and be able to gather wide data sets and put findings into context to tell a story. Your technical Solar expertise will be coupled with a product development, and/or field operations management experience.
On the technical side you will have the relevant trade and electrical licenses. You could even have an engineering background.
You may have previously worked on the tools, and moved into a management or operational excellence position, knowing what good quality looks like and understanding the power that data can tell us. A key component of what you have to offer is that you've got Solar technical expertise looking for a new challenge.
Finally, while a certain level of aptitude is important to us, the right attitude is crucial.
Some travel within NZ and AU may be required to manage field installations.
