IG3 Education is a leading Education Solutions Provider that supplies solutions to education institutions across Australia.
We require a skilled and motivated Technical Support person with good IT and technical skills. This position is primarily to provide telephone and email support to our customers, on both our hardware and software product range country wide. The successful candidate will be based in our Robina, Queensland office.
Essential skills and qualifications:
- Passion for technology
- Proven experience in the field of IT support, specifically telephone support
- Good knowledge of IT hardware, setup and troubleshooting
- Good understanding of networks
- Installation and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows operating system
- Good working knowledge of Apple MacOS operating system
- Working knowledge of Apple iOS.
- Above average knowledge of Android operating system
- Good working knowledge of web-based platforms.
- Programming skills would be beneficial but not essential.
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, WHM and cPanel would be useful
- Good communications and professional customer facing skills
- Common sense and the ability to take decisions and follow instructions
- Hard working, fast and efficient and not be a clock watcher
- Must have a valid driver’s licence
Will be responsible for:
- Attending to telephone support call regarding technical issues
- Support for Interactive Touch panels being used via Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android.
- Support for Educational Software products and the My.IG3 portal
- In-house IT support
- Limited onsite support may be required from time to time
- Some after hours’ work from time to time
- Relevant administration
- Ensure all work is completed to customer satisfaction and within predetermined timeframes
