To be considered for this contract you will need to be an Australian citizen and have an NV1 clearance in place at commencement. Contract due to commence July 2024.
Defence is looking to set up a Land Combat System (LCS) Digital Design team which will apply to Army’s military Land capability systems (i.e. vehicles, aircraft, soldier systems, deployable base infrastructure, robotic & autonomous systems, simulation & range training systems etc.).
Some the key tasks will include:
- Manage and lead the project, allocate resources and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of LCS Digital Design deliverables and to realise the strategic objective of Land capability digital integration.
- Management of production of Artefacts.
- Prepare written reports and presentations relating to the project, including monthly project status reports for project boards.
- Plan and manage the delivery of the LCS Digital Design in a manner consistent with the existing LCS Standards and in collaboration with the LCS Design Pillar.
- Develop and maintain project plans, monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks to ensure that the project stays on track. Communicate with stakeholders, report project status and identify opportunities for improvement.
As the ideal candidate you will have the following knowledge/capabilities:
- The LCS Digital DesignProject Manager has a minimum of 8 years of Industry experience in ICT Project Management in order to meet the Level 3 DSS panel requirements.
- Is degree qualified.
- C4ISR and/or Defence mission systems experience
- Experience with NAF4 and/or DoDAF or industry equivalent architecture frameworks.
- High level project management skills, knowledge and experience in multiple project management methodologies, techniques and frameworks.
Other desirable skills include:
- Experience working in a team delivering products using a System Modelling Language (SysML) based MBSE tool.
- Experience in leading or contributing to Army/ Defence Project teams and/ or Program Management Offices, or those of similar size/ complexity civilian organisations.
- Experience working in a systems engineering, ICT, mechatronic engineering or related technical field.
