Job Description
What You'll Do
The System Engineer would be working closely with consulting teams to deliver product and/or solution validation engagements that will aid in closing out sales opportunities. It is a challenging but very interesting and rewarding role that requires both technical breadth and depth in order to be effective. The engagement involves understanding the solution proposal, key points that needs to be demonstrated, and competitive pressure on the account. The TPSE would then need to develop and deliver an appropriate test plan that would cover the main objectives and highlight key selling points.
Who you'll Work With
You would be part of highly technical and skilled team of engineers, each one having a passion for a particular technology track. Most of your team members are subject matter expert on a particular technology areas. You work collaboratively with different Business Entities (BEs) whose different products form part of a particular solution offering. You would deal with different organization from Sales, Technical Services, Product BEs, Marketing, etc. to clarify, demonstrate and articulate differentiation in the market.
Who You Are
You would have a strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing and switching). Demonstrable knowledge in one of architectural plays, i.e. Service Provider, Enterprise Networking, Data Center or Security. Practical experience in relevant products, operating systems, and virtualization technologies is a must. Coding or scripting experience is desirable, as well as proficiency in UNIX environment. You would have achieved relevant experience in Sales, post sales or engineering roles for a minimum of 2 years in the information technology and telecommunication industry. You would need to be a good communicator and negotiator, and proficient in the English language. As every engagement is treated as a project, time management is important as well as the ability to multitask and work independently.
