About the role
The Technical Project Manager will work across diverse teams to deliver and implement technical change to production environments. The Technical Project Manager will work closely with other teams to ensure the implementation and transition across the full life cycle of a project, ensuring a great outcome is delivered for our clients, with quality, speed and an understanding that meeting requirements is key to success.
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for;
- Working with Portfolios, Project Managers and Vendors to manage technical change work.
- Reviewing solutions and providing input and suggestions on improvements.
- Managing tasks across delivery teams to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget.
- Identifying and managing any risks or issues throughout the change lifecycle.
- Managing implementation of change and ensuring implementation plans are developed and reviewed.
- Ensuring solution requirements are gathered accurately and that all stakeholders have transparency on impacts.
- Communicating technical solution changes clearly and ensuring they are understood by stakeholders.
- Managing project teams.
- Management of multiple projects.
- The role is based in Melbourne, Sydney or Wollongong.
Education and Experience
- Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science, or related study.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in IT applications delivery.
- Experience with methodologies of project management and software development.
- Experience in Superannuation is mandatory.
- Project Management certification is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
- Previous experience working in a technical operations environment.
- Business systems analysis or testing experience.
- Commercial acumen and technical experience.
- Experience working with software and UX teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to present to stakeholders and communicate complex issues in simple terms.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently both autonomously and collaboratively.
