Who we are:
Schiavello Manufacturing (Metal Furniture Division) of the Schiavello Group; one of Australia’s leading international designers and manufacturers of advanced office furniture products is currently recruiting.
The Opportunity:
Currently, we have an opportunity for an experienced Estimator with previous exposure to Metal Fabrication to join our furniture manufacturing team. A key role within our operation, your primary objective will include determining raw material requirements, production times/ routings, ensuring customer needs and expectations are met along with ensuring production costs remain within budget.
Key responsibilities will also see you:
- Accurately forecasting budgets for products and/or projects;
- Keep register and files of all documentation used with reference to all quotes and tenders;
- Provide up to date revised quotations to Sales/Clients in order to confirm correct sales confirmations and material pricing rates;
- Check costs against supplier quotes;
- Review contracts and quote revisions including processing variations and resolve discrepancies;
- Attend division meetings when required and report on budget and tender progress.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 2-3 years of experience in a Metal Fabrication setting will be highly advantageous!
- Analytical skills;
- Computer skills including MS Office and advanced excel (knowledge of macros);
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills;
- Manufacturing experience highly regarded;
- Strong negotiator and good communicator;
- Ability to multi-task
Previous work experience in the Commercial Furniture Sector will be highly regarded, along with your understanding of geometric construction and engineering terms and standards.
