Technical Support Specialist / Service Desk Analyst (Battery Storage Systems)

Shifts: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (with some flexibility for out of hours cover)

Salary: $70,000 -$90,000 pa depending on experience and skill sets

Location: The role is office-based in Adelaide, but may require travel to customer premises under the direction of your reporting manager, including interstate travel.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist to provide product support via fault-finding, system monitoring and remote diagnosis to minimise product downtime and mitigate unnecessary on-site support.

We specialise in our range of inverters and battery systems which allow our users to store their renewable/cheap-rate energy, ease pressure on the grid and save some serious money. Last year we diversified into electric vehicle chargers and introduced our flagship product – the All In One system. On top of all this, GivEnergy Europe was formed at the end of 2022, GivEnergy Australia was created in the summer of 2023, and we have exciting further plans for global expansion in the works!

What You’ll Be Doing:

This is an opportunity to work with a globally established energy storage manufacturer delivering first line product support remotely and providing resolutions for incoming support requests (phone calls, emails and live chat). You will be providing support to new and existing customers to ensure that all products (hardware and software) are running at optimum efficiency.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Customer, installer and colleague support by phone, email and live chat to assist with technical and product-based issues across all product lines.
  • First point of contact for product support requests and technical enquiries arriving into the Technical Contact Centre.
  • Escalation of issues remotely detected in accordance with departmental procedures and policies to Field Services.
  • Identify and assess the needs of a customer/installer to achieve maximum satisfaction, suggesting solutions when a product malfunction occurs, aiming for a first-time fix.
  • Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated internal resource to ensure outstanding customer service is always being delivered.

What We’re Looking for:

We’re looking for someone who will thrive under a start-up mentality as we expand our Australian arm of our UK business over the next 12-18 months. The following traits will serve you really well in this position:

  • An understanding of or experience working within the Renewable Energy industry and energy storage systems (preferred).
  • Scientific, Electrical and/or Engineering technical competence (preferred).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume Service Desk environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Efficient planning and organisation capability.
  • Interest in problem solving and issue identification.
  • An active learner with a thirst for knowledge.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Positive and Helpful attitude.
