AddressScotford Fennessy are looking to appoint an experienced open pit Technical Services Managerwith our client at their large open pit operation in WA. They are a leading gold producer with a number of well-established assets across Australia and the globe. This organization has a strong focus on innovation and technology, sustainability and diversity within the workforce. This is a full time, permanent position, offered on a family friendly 4 days on, 3 days off (variation) FIFO roster from Perth.
About the role:
The duties of the role include the daily coordination of technical mining activities, processing plant and equipment and people resources. This forward planning role is responsible for the management of mine planning (medium and long term), survey, infrastructure and geotechnical teams ensuring management is briefed on all technical matters and supporting the delivery of mine production according to the business plan. You will provide input to the annual budget and ongoing forecasting to support the strategic plan on site, as well as manage the development and maintenance of mining systems.

You will have a proven ability to hit the ground running and demonstrated ability to provide leadership, training and mentoring of the team and extensive experience in a hands on operational role. The successful candidate will encourage diverse thinking and support a learning organization that wants to create sustainable mining operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree Mining Engineering
- Proven experience across a variety of mining methods, ideally in gold mining
- Extensive open pit operational and technical experience
- Sound knowledge of Mining Standards
- Possess a team orientated, collaborative approach.
