Adore Beauty was put on the web way back in April 2000 by self-confessed beauty-junkie Kate Morris. Having grown up in Launceston, Tasmania, Kate lamented that all the hottest beauty products mentioned in magazines were only available to those who lived in big cities.
So Kate innovated! She created an online beauty boutique that would make beauty products accessible to anyone, anywhere, anytime and to create a place where customers felt comfortable and in control of their own beauty journey.

The Role
Most people think getting excited about a new Excel shortcut is a tad sad. Spoiler alert: we’re not most people. We’re big picture, but obsessed with the details, and getting down and dirty with reporting is our idea of a good time. Out-and-proud nerds, the Adore Beauty’s Planning Team is looking for a new, shiny, number-crunching, budget-wrangling, spreadsheet-tackling, analysis-twirling, discrepancy-finding Demand Planner, and we’ve saved you a seat.
You will drive the optimisation of inventory control and planning processes, meticulously overseeing stock availability levels to minimise stockouts and overstock situations. Spearhead seamless execution of new product launches by coordinating with vendors, internal teams, and distribution centres to ensure timely and efficient product availability across all channels. Strategically align inventory management efforts with overarching business goals, leveraging data-driven insights to forecast demand, streamline procurement processes, and maximise profitability while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
Day to day responsibilities
Planning Analysis & Advice
● Drive analysis on limited edition stock, through category, brand, and sub category review, to show comparison to LY and ensure sales are maximised
● Engage in and support business strategic initiatives
● Partner with suppliers on strategic brands to provide forward forecast and reporting information, lead stock planning meetings, to ensure supply of key lines and build strong relationships
● Provide monthly analysis, recommendations and tracking of sell in targets to assist and inform Category Managers in negotiating and delivering rebates.
● Lead seasonal project work such as holiday closures with finance and warehouse teams
Execution of processes
● Demand forecasting of products in portfolio (S&F)
● Participate in S&OP process, through reporting, analysis and innovation
● Support category managers with new product launches to ensure flawless execution
● Partner with warehouse team to manage key strategic projects, projected inbound and dispatch volumes, priorities and stock management
● Manage seasonal budgeting and strategy for portfolio
● Build stock purchase plans to ensure optimal stock holdings, taking into account seasonal and market trends, promotional activity and new product launches
● Manage reporting on a weekly and monthly timeline, providing analysis, insights, information and recommendations of category and sub category trends, to support commercially sound future buying decisions
● Perform regular inventory analysis to support sales growth and minimise risk. Highlighting business growth areas, maintaining stock availability targets through sales forecasting and supplier management
● Highlight excess / short dated inventory and work with brands team to reduce and control
Who you are
Qualifications
● Tertiary qualified in relevant discipline (Business/Commerce/Marketing etc.) or equivalent experience
Knowledge and demonstrated experience in:
● Minimum 3 years relevant experience in demand planning role
● Experience using excel and or google sheets
● Experience working with >2,000+ SKU’s
● Experience to planning systems is advantageous
