Due to the increase in projects at our open pit department, we are seeking a passionate Technical Services Superintendent to join our Technical Service team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Technical Services Superintendent at Norton Gold Fields, you are responsible for bringing the OP long-term plan into Operational Readiness and providing clear technical direction and support to the Open Pit Production team. Duties include Pre-Feasibility Studies, project proposals, business cases, OP Budgets, infrastructure, and pit design modification, LOM scheduling and assisting with the OP projects management.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Conduct internal "Pre-Feasibility Studies" for potential projects within NGF tenements.
• Prepare, manage, and submit profitable project proposals, including business cases, for management approval.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure practicality and achievability of submitted projects within specified timeframes.
• Ensure timely submission and approval of Mining Proposals (MPs) to DMIRS by coordinating with key stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver Long-Term Plans (LOM) and medium-term plans, aligning with NGF targets and budget cycles.
• Mentor engineers and technical personnel, implementing graduate programs and training initiatives.
• Collaborate with financial and geology departments to review and update cost models and Ore Reserve reports.
• Provide ongoing TECHNICAL SERVICES to Open Pit Operations, including pit revisions and infrastructure updates, ensuring compliance with regulations and economic objectives.
• Coordinate with key internal departments including Environment to make sure the revisions of pit, waste dumps and/or infrastructures of the existing pits are permitted to operate before deploying the changes to mining operations.

ABOUT YOU

• At least 5 years of relevant experience within the AUS OP environment (Essential).
• Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class “C” Driver’s Licence (Essential).
• Relevant Bachelor's qualifications in Mining Engineering. (Essential).
• First Class Managers Certificate (Desirable).
• Experience in the use of Surpac, Minesched, Datemine, 5D planner, etc (Desirable).
• Good understanding of the Mining Safety and Inspection Act 1994 (WA) and, Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995 (WA). 
• Comfortable communicating to all levels from operators through to management.
