Pearl Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Technical Services Superintendentto join our client who is a fast-emerging mining operator involved with major mineral sands projects across Australia.
By way of growth, they have a vacancy for a Technical Services Superintendent to join them on a site-based 8:6 roster flying from Perth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and integration of the mine management system.
- Ensure that effective daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly planning and forecasting for operations, capital expenditure, and production physicals are aligned with the budget and targets.
- Manage the financial performance of a specific department or business sector to meet or surpass predetermined goals. Implement a project to increase cost-effectiveness and risk management.
- Provide leadership in shaping and modelling desired team behaviours - mentor and support the junior engineers, geologists and technical staff.
- Develop professional operational progress and production reports, preform benchmarking, scenario/contingency planning and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the assumption of Statutory Roles as required by the Western Australian Department of Mines Industry Regulation and Safety (Quarry Manager)
- Update and review LOM plans as required.
- Plan and oversee the overall execution of operations, ensuring that people, processes, and strategies work together to implement activities that meet corporate objectives.
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Unrestricted Quarry Managers Certificate - highly desirable
- Previous experience with Deswik mine planning software is essential
- 3+ years experience in a similar Mine Management position.
- Experience working with mineral sands is highly desired
- Strong understanding of all relevant regulatory compliance
- Experience leading and developing a team of high calibre mining professionals.
