What you’ll deliver with us
The Technical 365 Specialist carries out maintenance, monitoring, reporting, support and best practice product usage advice to ensure the stable operation of the organisation’s Collaborative Services environment. This is a
3rd level Technical Specialist who performs advanced level administration functions for our entire Microsoft 365 platform. This role involves supporting both our
user base & 1st/2nd level support teams for more complex issues, but also to assist with defining business solutions that use these tools.
This is a hands-on position contributing to delivering and running the Productivity and Collaboration Services platform for the Australia Post Group on premise or through public cloud providers including the provision and management of the specific technical service. This person also contributes to the improvement of key measures, metrics and service levels set for Service Management (Incident, Request, Problem, Change).
You’ll also
Contribute to the operation of Productivity platforms, activities and the various applications that the team supports
- Represent the team at change, incident, and problem reviews.
- Provide investigation, change request approvals, incident management and resolution for Australia Post’s Productivity platforms and technical toolset in line with agreed Business Service Levels.
- Prepare and distribute software releases including vendor and platform upgrades including version reporting.
- Assist in asset management that includes, but not limited to, hardware inventories, certificates, licenses and CMDB.
- Remain available for Productivity Platform support on a 24 x 7 basis to ensure stable operation of IT services aligned to business and customer needs.
About you
You are a collaborative individual who can collaborate with other technical teams to implement productivity solutions. Being able to adjust your communication style based on the audience is critical for this role as you will be driving new ways of working across these platforms and broader teams. You are comfortable engaging service providers and vendors to enhance the environment.
You’ll also need
Must be proficient in Microsoft M365 technologies i.e. Microsoft Teams/Exchange/SharePoint/PowerShell/Viva/OneDrive
- Experience working as an Office 365 administrator or 365 Technical Specialist proving 3rd level technical suppport
- Background in supporting complex, high volume change management requirements and critical Operational IT environments.
- Demonstrated experience in Productivity technology in both on premise and Cloud environments
- Proven initiative through effective problem management with reduction in incidents, improved SLA, improved availability and reliability.
Experience planning and delivering of patches, maintenance releases and all major product enhancement releases to Collaborative platforms minimising any impact to the business.
Working knowledge of Agile, ITIL and IT security principles is advantageous.
