Overview:
The Applications Engineer’s primary responsibility is to provide the necessary products and services to our customers, leveraging our global market leading partners such as MAC Valves, PHD, Tolomatic, VMECA and Parker, as well as identify, engage and increase client base and selling opportunities.
The role will also require an innate ability to identify a customer’s “pain point”, collaborate, advise, and provide an innovative solution. Products with proven superior technology, repeatability and reliability will be your ally during the selection and solution process.
The Technical Sales Specialist will engage and communicate with many tiers of management including Senior Management (Decision Makers and Approvers), Plant and Divisional Management (Decision Makers and Influencers) and Sectional Managers, Line Operators and Stock Controllers (Decision Influencers and Recommenders) – moving seamlessly from the boardroom to the assembly line.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain and build client relations and proactively pursue new sales opportunities.
- Developing customer-focused innovative solutions.
- Meet and exceed sales targets.
- Possess and/or develop deep knowledge of business product and value benefits.
- Identify and solve problems for clients with innovative and tailored solutions.
- Showcase, promote and leverage Pneutech’s product portfolio by consistent use and delivery of product animations and samples.
- Adhere to Pneutech policies, processes and reporting requirements.
- Be a brand ambassador and reflect company values at all times.
Qualifications and requirements:
The successful candidate will provide demonstrated examples that reflects their expertise and experience in some, or all, of the following fields:
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
- Technically savvy (you know your way around CRMs and ERPs)
- Knowledge and experience within the automation, manufacturing, machinery or processing industry
- Commercial/industrial sales experience
- Excellent communication skills
Mandatory requirements:
- A current drivers licence.
Remuneration:
- The salary package on offer will be determined by the applicants experience and proven performance.
