The Opportunity
Responsible to the Operations Manager - East, the Technical Support Representative is an industry-experienced individual who will engage positively with, and support our clients professionally with diligence to provide the highest level of customer contact for all field support. This includes scoping rebuilds, quoting, new tray and bucket commissioning, product support, aftermarket parts sales, and inspections for our world-class Hercules and Barracuda mining attachments.
You will be an experienced boilermaker or Engineer familiar with surface mining products (mobile equipment maintenance), with field experience. Displaying confidence and being a pro-active self-starter, you will be able to easily develop new business, recommend products for use, and build meaningful long-lasting relationships with key decision makers on site. This is a truly rewarding experience for the right individual to make their mark in the industry.
Additionally, you will:
- Develop and maintain supportive relationships with key site-based decision makers and effectively demonstrate Schlam’s value to our clients.
- Proactively contact site-based stakeholders to arrange any required support.
- Conduct routine site-based inspections of Payload products.
- Provide Technical Support and recommendations specific to site requirements.
- Serve as a link of communication between customers & internal teams.
You'll hold the following qualifications:
- Relevant Trade Certificate (Cert III) Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
You’ll also bring skills, knowledge and experience that include:
- High level of self-motivation with the ability to work autonomously.
- Exemplary customer service focus and support of our customers.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong commitment to safety at all times.
- Current Drivers License.
- Intermediate computer literacy skills.
- Ability to pass a full Pre-Employment Medical including a drug and alcohol screen.
- National Police Certificate.
