AddressLocation: Queanbeyan/Bathurst (travel involved)
Contract: 12 months (05.07.2024 - 04.07.2025)
Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour + Superannuation
Hours: 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise measurements and surveys using advanced surveying equipment and software, including Lecia equipment.
- Analyze survey data to prepare accurate reports, maps, and charts using 12d Software.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure survey specifications are met.
- Provide technical expertise in land development, construction projects, and infrastructure assessments.
- Maintain and update survey records, drawings, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor and verify quality control of survey work to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during fieldwork and data collection.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in technical surveying, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
- Experience with Lecia surveying equipment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with 12d Software for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Technical Surveyors in conducting measurements and surveys.
- Set up and operate surveying equipment under the direction of senior staff.
- Assist in data collection, recording, and processing of survey information.
- Perform basic calculations and prepare simple reports and sketches.
- Maintain and organize survey equipment and tools.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines during fieldwork activities.
- Support survey team with various tasks as needed.
- Certificate or diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with surveying instruments and equipment.
- Basic understanding of surveying principles and techniques.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
