Position:Technical Surveyor
Location: Queanbeyan/Bathurst (travel involved)
Contract: 12 months (05.07.2024 - 04.07.2025)
Pay Rate: $50.00 per hour + Superannuation
Hours: 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct precise measurements and surveys using advanced surveying equipment and software, including Lecia equipment.
  • Analyze survey data to prepare accurate reports, maps, and charts using 12d Software.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure survey specifications are met.
  • Provide technical expertise in land development, construction projects, and infrastructure assessments.
  • Maintain and update survey records, drawings, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and verify quality control of survey work to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during fieldwork and data collection.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in technical surveying, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
  • Experience with Lecia surveying equipment is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with 12d Software for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required

Position: Surveyor Assistant
Location: Queanbeyan/Bathurst (travel involved)

Pay Rate: $42.00 per hour + Superannuation
Hours: 7 hours per day / 35 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Technical Surveyors in conducting measurements and surveys.
  • Set up and operate surveying equipment under the direction of senior staff.
  • Assist in data collection, recording, and processing of survey information.
  • Perform basic calculations and prepare simple reports and sketches.
  • Maintain and organize survey equipment and tools.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines during fieldwork activities.
  • Support survey team with various tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certificate or diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with surveying instruments and equipment.
  • Basic understanding of surveying principles and techniques.
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
