Technical Writer

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our clients team (insurance industry) to assist in the preparation of regulatory reports. As a Technical Writer focused on regulatory reporting, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, while effectively communicating complex technical information to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Key Deliverables:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across various departments to gather information necessary for regulatory reporting.
• Interpret and analyse technical data, policies, and procedures related to insurance operations.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation tailored for regulatory reporting purposes.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including reports, procedures, and compliance manuals, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Review and revise existing documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to relevant authorities within designated deadlines.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices to ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams on regulatory reporting requirements and documentation standards.
• Participate in regulatory audits and examinations, assisting in the preparation of requested documentation and responses to inquiries.

Key Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and reporting standards, such as those set by insurance regulators.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency in document management and collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience with regulatory audits or examinations is a plus.
• Certification in technical writing or regulatory compliance is desirable.
