HiR is recruiting multiple roles for one of Australia's largest IT consulting organisations.
Working with Tier 1 clients on infrastructure, primary resources, national security, defence and aerospace projects, you'll provide consultation, system integration, infrastructure outsourcing and application services.
Technical Writer
The system belongs to the Department of Defence. It is developed using various tools in the Microsoft technology stack, with Cognos Analytics providing the business intelligence and reporting platform. The Investment Portfolio Management Branch is responsible for the solution's maintenance, support, and business intelligence capability.
As part of a sustainment and enhancement program of work focussing on business intelligence and reporting, the team requires the skills of an experienced Technical Writer with broad experience in a similar technical environment.
Deliverables:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following deliverables and activities:
In collaboration with the project team, stakeholders, and subject matter experts, develop, maintain, organise procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation. This includes identifying and maintaining suitable document repositories.
Develop the written and visual products including:
- Technical documents relating to software applications and hardware;
- Software Application specific support guides;
- Technical architecture diagrams, business models, data flows and information
relationship models; and
- Communication and change products including newsletters and presentations.
Build a folio of standard templates for products such as Standard Operating Procedures, user support guides and Frequently Asked Questions.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
Work collaboratively with Portfolio Performance Management team and other Investment Portfolio Management Branch members to delivery CapabilityOne outcomes.
Develop and maintain professional, respectful, and positive relationships with CapabilityOne users, product owners, and suppliers across Defence Groups.
Contribute to a harmonious team environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and team collaboration to deliver project outcome.
Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members, APS and third parties as required
Have or be willing to attain NV1 or NV2 clearance
