Overview
About the Role
The role is primarily focused on delivery of post Gate 2 material and documentation that may arise during the execution and delivery of the project deliverables. The Services, delivered in collaboration with and under supervision by nominated Defence and project personnel, include, but are not limited to, the following:
Development of required documentation for progression through the Defence Capability Lifecycle (CLC);
Development of required documentation for project maturity;
Communication within the Capability Manager and other stakeholders;
Work effectively in a small team environment;
Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other team members;
Provide dedicated project support to the Geospatial project; and
Record and maintain files/information in accordance with Defence requirements.
Experience/Skills Sought:
As the successful candidate you will possess experience in the following:
Demonstrated experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: System Engineering, geospatial capability, CASG project experience and Test & Evaluation (T&E) planning;
Demonstrated experience in delivering high quality capability documentation to enable the project to attain Initial Material Release (IMR), Initial Operational Capability (IOC), and Final Operational Capability (FOC) on time and budget;
Demonstrated high-levels of self-motivation and ability to work under limited supervision to achieve directed project/capability outcomes; and
Demonstrated strong communication skills with a focus on stakeholder engagement and management.
Essential:
Well-developed Technical and/or Administrative writing skills;
Experience in planning, analysis, and development of material introduction into service requirements with an understanding of and experience in processing materiel.
Formal qualifications from a recognised tertiary institute or relevant industry experience;
Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills;
Understanding of ASDEFCON processes and defence contracting; and
Strong commitment to achieve project success.
