About Our ClientGlenco Air & Power, a leading provider of industrial air compressors and power solutions, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The Technical Writer, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, will be responsible for creating comprehensive manuals, guides, and instructions for our range of products, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Develop clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation including user manuals, installation guides, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guides for Glenco Air & Power products.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product development teams, engineers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure technical accuracy of documentation.
• Research: Conduct thorough research to understand product specifications, features, and functionality, translating complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for end-users.
• Quality Assurance: Review and edit documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards and company guidelines.
• User Experience Optimization: Continuously strive to improve the user experience by incorporating feedback, usability testing results, and industry best practices into documentation.
• Version Control: Maintain version control and document change history to track updates and revisions effectively.
• Localization: Work with translation teams to localise documentation for different markets and languages as needed.
• Documentation Management: Establish and maintain a centralised repository for all technical documentation, ensuring easy access and organisation.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in technical writing and incorporate them into the documentation process.

The Successful ApplicantThe ideal Technical Writer - Industrial Equipment meets the following requirements:

• A mechanical or electrical trade qualification is considered a plus.
• Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in the Industrial Equipment or machinery sector.
• Knowledge about air compression, ancillary compressed air equipment or portable generators will be considered a plus.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with graphic designers and illustrators to incorporate visual elements into documentation is desirable.
• A passion for quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement in technical documentation.
