We are seeking a skilled Contract - Technical Writer with extensive mining experience to join our dynamic team and contribute to our growing portfolio of projects.
Job Description: We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Technical Writer with a strong background in mining to produce high-quality documentation across maintenance, production and mining operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mining operations, along with exceptional writing skills to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content.
6-12 months (with potential for extension)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and edit technical documents including user manuals, product guides, white papers, and technical reports specific to mining technologies and processes.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the documentation.
- Create and maintain documentation templates and standards to ensure consistency and quality across all technical content.
- Review and update existing documentation to reflect the latest product developments, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Translate complex technical information into easily understandable content for a variety of audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure all documentation meets the company's branding and style guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably within the mining industry.
- In-depth knowledge of mining operations, Mobile equipment, Production or Maintenance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and illustrations.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools such as MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other content management systems.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
