Responsibilities include converting information from existing manuals into a consistent format for site maintenance personnel in mobile plant maintenance.
About the Role:
As a Technical Writer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining essential documentation for training, Standard Work Instructions (SWI), and Maintenance Work Lists. Your responsibilities will include:
- Crafting user manuals, installation guides, and product specifications.
- Collaborating with technical teams to gather and understand product information.
- Translating complex technical details into user-friendly language for diverse audiences.
- Editing and revising documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Managing multiple documentation projects concurrently, adhering to deadlines and project requirements.
- Liaising with key internal stakeholders to identify and analyse documentation needs.
- Identifying target audiences for documentation content and anticipating their questions, problems, and needs.
- Writing and editing technical and non-technical content for customer-friendly product documentation in a timely manner.
- Reviewing and evaluating documents to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Collaborating closely with engineers and technicians to ensure documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and meets client requirements.
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer with:
- Ideally, 3-5 years of experience in Technical Writing.
- A mechanical trade background or technical ability is preferred, particularly in reading and translating manuals into training materials, SWIs, and maintenance checklists.
