We are currently seeking an After Hours and Maintenance Technician. This is a permanent role based in South Melbourne and reports to the Service Operations Manager.
You will perform all Shift Field Operations-related work for the Melbourne area in accordance with the performance objectives and the authority delegated by the Melbourne Service Operations Manager.
- Working hours - 4 pm to midnight 12.30 am
- Tool of trade vehicle provided.
Key Responsibilities for You
- Attend all Shift callbacks in a timely and safe manner to ensure contractual and compliance KPIs are met in accordance with customer contracts.
- Ensures all allocated units within the area of responsibility are maintained After Hours in accordance with contractual obligations and the Company's maintenance policies.
- Carries out repairs and replaces parts prior to any deterioration of performance safety where required.
- Maintains company tools, equipment, and materials in good order and safeguards such property against damage or theft, including company work vehicles if supplied.
- Maintain and work on the Quality System, including procedures and manuals.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and help facilitate continuous improvement to satisfy the customers of your processes.
Key working relationships - Internally and Externally
- Works closely with the Melbourne Repairs Managers and Service Operations Manager
- Work closely with the Melbourne After Hours Duty Supervisor
- Liaises with functional management at other Otis entities and headquarters.
- Represent the Company with major customers, suppliers, and the public.
- External stakeholders include customers, building owners, managers, independent and government agencies, unions, consultants, and suppliers.
What You Will Need to Be Successful
- Have Electrical/Fitter/Mechanic qualifications as relevant to the role.
- Minimum two (2) to five (5) years experience in Lift/escalator maintenance
- Has the ability to perform knowledge transfer on information and skills through training.
- Demonstrated fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong English language skills, both verbal and written
- Intermediate knowledge and experience using technology, including mobile communications, applications, and other computer-based systems (Word, Excel, Email, Internet).
- Highly organized, structured, and able to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Attention to detail, results-driven, works well in a team and autonomously.
