Accountable to the Supervisor: Mechanical MaintenanceThis role is based at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.Accountabilities:
- Carrying out maintenance tasks in the Process plant as directed by Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintaining Crushers, Conveyor Systems, Pumps, Pipe Work, Ball Mill, Concentrators, Vibrating Screens & Feeders, chutes, grid mesh, handrails, Cyclones and all associated Tanks, Launders and structural Steelworks.
- Welding, fabrication, gouging, grinding, and fitting
- Carry out installation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment
- Ensuring that all activities are effective through cross-functional liaison and teamwork in accordance with the professional standards established by the Maintenance team
- Assist with shutdown co-ordination and execution
- A Current Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Boilermaker/Welder/Fabricator).
- Tine management skills and the ability to working both independently and within a team.
- High level of attention to detail, quality focused and a can-do attitude.
- The ability to read workshop drawings.
- Experience in the maintenance of mineral processing or heavy industrial plants preferably within the gold industry.
- The ability to work with noise, dust, elevated work areas, confined work areas, extremes of temperature, water and slurry.
- Forklift ticket, basic rigging/Dogging and CN ticket will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with SAP will be highly regarded
- Existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia (mandatory)
