About the Role
Terra15 are looking for a technician with a broad skill set and a problem-solving attitude. You will be working across a range of tasks from mechanical, electronics and fibre cable support as well as small scale manufacturing support. Key Responsibilities
- Experimental and test rig design, assembly and commissioning for manufacturing and projects
- Component and system testing
- Optical fibre splicing
- Trouble-shooting and support
- Procurement support
- Compliance with safety and quality requirements
- Perform any other duties as required
Essential skills
- A “hands-on” approach to solving technical problems with optical fibres, electronics, mechanical components and systems
- Attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Good documentation skills
Desired skills and experience
- Ability to work within a close-knit team
- Mechanical design and assembly skills
- Fibre Optic testing experience (OTDR, VFL, Live Fibre ID, and LSPM)
- Data cable termination and testing
- Manufacturing systems experience
- Excellent time management skills
- C-Class drivers Licence (prefer Manual)
- Over 2 years experience in a similar position
