We are now seeking a Processing Plant Technician to join our Processing team at Tropicana Gold Mine on a permanent basis. Accountable to the Processing Superintendent, this role is responsible for operating designated fixed plant infrastructure in an incident free, efficient, and sustainable way to deliver production targets.
Based at the Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8/6, 7/7 FIFO roster, we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.
Accountabilities:
- Performing tasks while minimising exposure to health, safety, and environmental risks
- Identifying and eliminating hazards with a view of achieving an injury free workplace
- Operating designated fixed plant infrastructure
- Maximising plant performance by continual monitoring the plant operating conditions and plant state
- Completing area specific inspections to identify and diagnose plant and equipment deficiencies
- Operation of mobile equipment including IT loader, skid steer loaders and forklifts
About You
People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:
- Previous Processing Plant experience
- Understanding of process control and SCADA systems (Citect)
- Experience in using a computer-based ERP system, preferably SAP
- Intermediate skills in MS Office
- Competent to operate small mobile equipment such as a forklift or skid steer loader
- WA C Class (manual) Drivers Licence
- National Police Clearance
- Existing and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia (Mandatory)
