Technology Support Officer, you’ll be the face of IT support at your designated port and be responsible for both on-site support for the day-to-day operation of Jetstar’s IT equipment and occasional phone support to remote airports. The role requires significant domestic travel to Jetstar’s ports (up to 7-10 days per month) so we are seeking candidates that are flexible to travel regularly.
Key responsibilities of this role include:- Being Jetstar’s IT subject matter expert for local End User Computing and Airport IT
- Providing on-site support for the day to day operation of Jetstar’s IT equipment at your port
- Providing timely incident resolution for airport located IT
- Conduct frequent IT equipment health checks, ensuring airport equipment is working to a high quality and availability standard
- Monitor and ensure adequate performance of all IT equipment and applications on site including mobile networks and WAN performance
- Assist airport staff with training on IT systems as required
- Manage ad-hoc IT queries across your port.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a IT support role
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent is desirable
- Strong verbal communications skills
- A passion for solving problems and providing exceptional customer service
- A can-do attitude and a desire to solve issues at the first attempt
- Someone highly self-sufficient and proactive.
