Job Summary:
We currently have an opportunity for a Rigger, with proven Telecommunication Rigging certification and experience. This role is for a minimum of 12 months with a view to extend.
You will be responsible for coordinating, managing and optimizing activities to improve the overall performance of the telecommunications network infrastructure and service. This includes installation of hardware/software systems, and maintenance and repair of radio access nodes and core network transmission equipment.
Outline of Key Experience Required:
- Certified Rigger (basic, intermediate or advanced) with all required OH&S certifications
- 2 or more years telecommunications rigging experience in a network rollout discipline
- A minimum of 2 years within a Telco rigging team building new sites and upgrades
- Familiarity with Optus, NBN, Telstra installation standards
- Installation of Ericsson radio telecommunications equipment and cabling is preferable
- Must be able to perform structural upgrades to telco infrastructure
- Solid understanding and experience doing RF plumbing in modern and complex RAN roll out.
Combination of most of the following experience, qualifications and achievements:
- EWP ticket
- Ability to read and interpret technical construction drawings
- Ability to prepare acceptance artefacts
- Decision making and problem solving skills
- Construction industry white card
- RF Hazard Awareness Training
- Flexibility in working hours and able to work away for 1 to 3 weeks at a time.
