Our national network of medical practitioners diagnose and prescribe according to federal and state regulations.
Who are we looking for?
Full-time Practice Manager who will have full oversight of all things clinics. You will need to be able to wear many hats, thrive in a dynamic environment doing what is needed to keep our systems humming and patients happy.
Your responsibilities
You will be an experienced Practice Manager with a background in GP or Specialist clinics and have the skills to manage your team, ensuring they hit set KPIs and deliver a high quality patient experience
During the course of your employment, you are required to manage and undertake the following key responsibilities:
Financials- liaise with accounting team re staff payroll, maintain accurate financial records of incoming and outgoing expenses, receipting of MBS payments including accurately billing MBS, ability to strategically plan
Operational- Develop and maintain a suite of practice policies and procedures, Develop and maintain a business continuity and disaster recovery plan, Be part of and contribute to a team environment, Oversee the day-to-day practice operations, Keep the teams knowledge of the practice IT systems up to date, Develop relationships with GPs, allied health professionals and other stakeholders. Identify/review/troubleshoot operational issues whilst maintain a high level of service.
Personnel- Coordinate staff employment and rosters, including annual leave cover, Arrange cover for clinical staff when necessary, Encourage governance and social responsibility, Encourage employee motivation, professional development and satisfaction, Conduct regular staff training, meetings and appraisals whilst motivating and leading the team effectively to achieve their KPIs.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 3 + years experience in similar role (virtual telehealth setting highly regarded)
- Have strong communication skills (both oral and written) and have an excellent customer service focus
- Have a systematic and logical approach to problem resolution
- Be able to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Have a “can do” or “can fix it” attitude
- Strong understanding of core business processes
- Proven management experience in a medical practice setting (including financial management/accounting systems/reporting processes)
- Excellent computer skills
- Experience with Medirecords medical software desirable
- Detailed understanding of Billings, Medicare & DVA processes and applications
- Understanding of general practice- including compliance, Medicare
- Understanding of business metrics- including staffing, costs and financial reporting matters
- Training or coaching experience.
- Relevant qualifications and/or previous experience in the health care industry highly desirable
