Temporary Conveyancing Paralegal - 1 Month Contract

THE ROLE: 
Law Staff is assisting a mid-sized law firm based in Brisbane CBD that is seeking a Conveyancing Paralegal for a short-term coverage assignment (19th of June to 19th of July 2024). This role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in conveyancing, with proficiency in REIQ Residential and Commercial Land contracts, Queensland Titles Office Practice & Procedure, and PEXA. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, problem solver, and team player, able to handle A to Z management of residential and commercial sale and purchase contracts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Managing both residential and commercial sale and purchase contracts, including off the plan contracts
• Obtaining initial instructions, open new files, and reviewing proposed contracts
• Preparing and editing contracts and associated documentation
• Liaising with banks, financial institutions, and other stakeholders
• Processing stamp duty and registrations online
• Attending to billing requirements and post-settlement work
• Maintaining accurate file records and comply with all firm procedures

ABOUT YOU: 

• Minimum 3 years' experience in conveyancing
• Proficiency in REIQ contracts, Queensland Titles Office procedures, PEXA, and OSR Online
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
