Mimili Anangu School is part of a remote Aboriginal Community on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands. The incumbent in this position will teach a Year 4 to 6 class, but may be required across Years 3-7. PitjantjatjaraYankunytjatjara Language is a key component of the learning program and there is a strong focus on developing literacy and numeracy skills through the Australian Curriculum specifically the Anangu Lands developed units The successful applicant will have an understanding of EALD teaching strategies, proactive behaviour management and trauma informed practices. All teachers work closely with Anangu Educators to deliver all aspects of the curriculum. The desirable applicant should be flexible and able to work well with service providers and community to deliver integrated units. Mimili is a great place to live and work. Share housing is available for the successful applicant. To ensure employer compliance of duty of care responsibilities given the unique environment of the APY Lands, a wellness check will be conducted for any teacher nominated for this position and prior to any offer of employment.

Successful applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the APY Lands, as per the local Aboriginal Community Council (APY - Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Executive Board)
