The Tender Support/Marketing Officer plays an integral role in the business development process by assisting the Director of Business Development in managing proposals, bids, and tender documents. Additionally, they are responsible for updating company marketing materials for tender submissions and presentations. Collaboration with internal teams is essential to gather required information in a timely manner for submissions.
About the role:
- Support the Director of Business Development in responding to RFPs and ITTs.
- Coordinate with internal teams and experts to gather information for proposals.
- Track progress and ensure submission deadlines are met.
- Format proposal documents according to client requirements.
- Design presentation materials for client meetings and bid defence sessions.
- Plan and execute marketing events and activities.
- Maintain document control and enhance documents in line with ISO guidelines.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote products and drive engagement.
- Create promotional materials while aligning with brand messaging.
- Manage social media, website content, and email campaigns for enhanced online presence.
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have:
- 2+ years of experience in proposal coordination, bid management, or marketing roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (advantageous).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for crafting compelling narratives and articulating complex ideas.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with graphic design and proposal management tools like Adobe InDesign, SharePoint, and Power BI.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools such as social media, email marketing, and web analytics.
- Familiarity with business development processes, sales strategies, and best practices in proposal development.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Analytical mindset for interpreting data and making data-driven decisions.
