The Terrain Park Attendant is a labour-intensive position that is responsible for construction, maintenance, and repair of all features; in addition to safety awareness and educating guests on Terrain Park etiquette. Daily responsibilities include opening and closing the Terrain Park, ensuring all signage and branding is well presented, testing features and assessing risk throughout the day, gathering and reporting information and assisting Ski Patrol with any incidents within the Terrain Park area. The Terrain Park Attendant will provide exceptional guest service and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- To provide a safe and progressive Terrain Park environment
- To maintain to the highest possible level of all features, signage, safety fencing, rope lines, promotional flags and banners
- Clear communication between departments
- General housekeeping and education of users in park etiquette
- To display a positive attitude at all times and to promote a fun, team oriented environment
- To complete incident and risk management reports
- To meet the BSL Company vision; "All Day Every Day the Best Possible Mountain Experience"
- To support Buller Ski Lifts Core Values; "Pride in our Mountain, Caring for People and Working Together"
We’re looking for people with:
- A good work ethic
- Able to work independently and make decisions on own assessment
- Very responsible & have broad vision of daily duties
- Exceptional communication skills
- Expert skier/rider in the park and overall
- Able to test all Terrain Park features including XL Rails and Jumps
- Able to lift up to 20kg (raking, shovelling & lifting large objects)
- Able to work outdoors in adverse winter weather conditions for up to 10 hours/day
- Able to direct guests and look out for safety concerns
Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- Must be available to work from the commencement of the winter season until the end of the season
- Valid Driver's License
- Must pass a ski/ride test to ensure expert level
