Our government client is seeking an experienced Test Analysts. The Test Analyst role operates within a major transformation program focused on establishing whole of government ICT capability to enable the department. The Test Analyst will design, document and execute the test cases for the program to ensure the quality assurance process.
About the role:
- Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles for the analysis, preparation and execution of tests
- Developing test plans, strategies, test scripts, scenarios and use cases
- Testing of REST Services and web applications
- Perform Web services/xml services testing
- Perform testing of security roles/permissions
- Review requirements specifications documents.
About you:
- ISTQB Certification in Software testing;
- Minimum 5+ years of experience especially in Agile methodologies;.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience of testing within highly integrated environments and writing SQL queries to maintain/verify testing activities;
- Experience utilising tools such as Azure DevOps for test planning, execution and defect management in an integrated environment;
- Experience in functional and non-functional testing;
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Location and Contract Term
This role is being offered to those in Canberra, ACT. Initial contract for 12 months and high chance to be extended.
Security Requirements
Our Government Client require applicants must be Australian citizen and must be able to obtain a Baseline candidate will be required to maintain a clearance at this level.
Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment screening checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.
