Role Description:
The Test Analyst will design, document and execute the test cases for the various programs to ensure the quality assurance process.
The Test Analysts role is intended to deliver a number of services to the Major Programs Branch.
Responsibilities:
- Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles for the analysis, preparation and execution of tests;
- Developing test plans, strategies, test scripts, scenarios and use cases;
- Testing of REST Services and web applications;
- Perform Web services/xml services testing;
- Perform testing of security roles/permissions;
- Review requirements specifications documents.
- Reporting to the Test Assurance Manager, must be able to build and maintain effective working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders;
- Well-developed technical testing skills, including:Writing, reviewing and executing manual and automated Test cases using tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Work alongside the development team to ensure that the reporting and dashboards solutions are tested as per the business requirements;
- Experience in Network testing desirable;
Skills and Experience:
- ISTQB Certification in Software testing;
- Minimum 5+ years of experience especially in Agile methodologies;.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience of testing within highly integrated environments and writing SQL queries to maintain/verify testing activities;
- Experience utilising tools such as Azure DevOps for test planning, execution and defect management in an integrated environment;
- Experience in functional and non-functional testing;
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work proactively, autonomously and collaboratively.
- Experience with Agile Software Development.
- Strong experience using tools such as Azure DevOps.
