We are looking for a talented Test Automation and Quality Engineer to join the team! Our industry is very fast moving, and we need someone who is a self-starter, has a can-do attitude, is not afraid to speak up and can integrate quickly to make an early positive impact is desired. Our systems support a very high transactional environment and employ the best technology Microsoft has to offer to achieve a globalized system that outperforms the market time after time. This role comes with excellent growth opportunities within Jetmax and broader Flight Centre Travel Group.
A day in the life...

• Coaching and guiding the existing team and implementing Test Automation with best practices in mind.
• Ensuring application quality of complex transactional systems.
• Working with the stakeholders (Business and Technical) to create appropriate test documentation.
• Assisting the existing QA Team Lead and helping organise workload for an offshore team of analysts in Manilla.
• Creation of test plans, test cases and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain automated test cases.
• Drive quality as an end-to-end responsibility of the whole team.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Coordinate with product and engineering teams to ensure quality is considered early and throughout the development lifecycle.
• Coach developers on Test Automation and testing practises.
• Work with other teams on general automation initiatives, e.g. data preparation, environment setup, etc.
• Deliver quality reporting and dashboards to improve visibility and transparency.
• Identify and remediating quality and process limitations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of test quality by undertaking reviews and recommending improvements.

Who you are...

• Minimum 3 years' experience with Test Automation (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, in C#, JavaScript, etc.) -capable and confident enough to be able to coach a team on best practices and arm them with the necessary skills to succeed.
• Knowledge of TDD and BDD principles.
• Experience with all forms of testing, including, system, integration, exploratory testing and performance testing.
• Experience in creating test plans, test cases and detailed defect reports.
• Experience with web, API and mobile testing.
• Strong communication, coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Familiarity in creating and understanding SQL scripts to analyse application data.
• Experience in debugging applications, both through an IDE and by analysing log files.
• Experience working in a fast-paced team with tight development deadlines.
• Strong understanding of the full development process and Agile (Scrum & Kanban) methodologies.
• You must have a positive attitude and a desire to learn quickly by consulting with the existing team.

Desirable...

• Experience in creating Test Automation scripts for both web and API applications.
• Ability to capture and analyse test quality metrics.
• Application security and accessibility testing would be highly regarded.
• International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB®) Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or international equivalent.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git and branching models.
• Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
• Tertiary qualification in a Computer Science related discipline.
