PERSOLKELLY is seeking Data Engineer(Testing) to join one of their Global Mining Client based in PERTH !
The main duty of the Test Engineer is to be motivated to improve product quality. This is achieved by following the V-Model principles, by applying integration, verification, validation and test principles based on product requirements and team deliverables.
You will be responsible for the design and development of new test suites with a focus on Data management and Networking.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Apply V-Model strategies that document and trace software testing to requirements in the context of distributed and real-time systems.
- Contribute to a culture focused on quality and continuous improvement.
- Utilise standards, workflows and best practices in Rail applications. (EN50128, EN50159 or similar).
- Design and Execute integration, test & verification plans.
- Develop and maintain continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Will work alongside hardware designers and other software developers.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in software testing, preferably for Data management and Networking in relevant industries (mining, marine, rail, automotive).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software / Network Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in design and delivery of complex data warehousing and Data management field.
- Experience with writing and optimising SQL queries is essential.
- Experience with Python is highly advantageous.
- Experience with Confluence, Jira and GitHub for issue tracking and version control workflow is highly advantageous.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (i.e. Layer 2, Layer 3 networking config, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, OPC-UA, CAN bus, DDS, SafeDDS) is highly advantageous.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and communications skills.
