As a Test Engineer (Data Management and Networking - Rail) working alongside hardware designers and other software developers, you'll oversee design and development of new test suites with a focus on Data management and Networking and will have an opportunity to write software in one or more of the languages described below.
In this role you will:
- Apply V-Model strategies that document and trace software testing to requirements in the context of distributed and real-time systems.
- Utilise standards, workflows and best practices in Rail applications. (EN50128, EN50159 or similar)
- Design and Execute integration, test & verification plans.
- Develop and maintain continuous integration & continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience in software testing, preferably for Data management and Networking in relevant industries (mining, marine, rail, automotive).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software / Network Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in design and delivery of complex data warehousing and Data management field.
- Experience with writing and optimising SQL queries.
- Experience with Python is advantageous.
- Experience with Confluence, Jira and GitHub for issue tracking and version control workflow is advantageous.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (i.e. Layer 2, Layer 3 networking config, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, OPC-UA, CAN bus, DDS, SafeDDS) is advantageous.
- Experience with cybersecurity testing (IEC 62443 or similar)
- Experience with AWS cloud platform is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of network, server and cyber security best practices is highly advantageous.
