Test Engineer

To liaise with all members of our Product Team to ensure the testing and verification plans and tests are completed at agreed stages within the product life cycle and all quality processes involved with testing are compliant to specified standards. The position is responsible for the overall strategy, whilst being hands-on in the development of test plans, test procedures and testing.
Job Description
Develop policies, test plans and standardised reporting for software and hardware testing across the product development team.
Ensure the correct execution of test plans is undertaken to specified timeframes, specifications and standards.
Liaise with international testing team for support and assistance in constructing test plans and strategies in line with Motorola Solutions
Highlight risks and assumptions identified during test planning or testing and develop innovative ways to address or minimise them.
Advise broader product team on suitable test processes and methodologies to improve testing regime
Implement Jira and TestRail
Ability to write testing automation applications
Monitor test metrics and report to key business stakeholders regularly.
Deliver and communicate test summary reports which includes test recommendations, inclusions, exclusions, lessons report, known outstanding bugs and requirements.
Attend project and team update and technical meetings in order to contribute updates on testing progress and any potential issues.
Together with the Project Manager agree product roadmap timeframes for management to release products to market.
Familiarity with C#, C++, Python or similar is desirable.
Capacity to create test programs from inception.

???Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Electronic, Software or Test Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with test methodologies and best practices, developing test plans, creating test cases, analysing defects and participation in technical design reviews.
Accuracy and attention to detail with proven ability to estimate work, set priorities and meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem identification and resolution skills with the ability to take initiative and drive the process to successful completion.
Strong organisational, time management and prioritising skills.
Proven communications skills both written and verbal to technical and non-technical staff.
Team player who is flexible and adaptable.
A desire to work with complex products and understand their application.
Qualification of ISTQB would be highly regarded.
