The Role & The Team:
The purpose of the OneSKY CMATS Test Manager is to be the single point of contact for coordination of system and site verification and acceptance test activities for the OneSKY CMATS program.
This helps to ensure that the Materiel System (Mission System and Support System) Design and Verification outcomes, as planned and delivered by the Contractor(s), achieve the Airservices and Defence technical requirements as defined in the associated Acquisition Contracts. This in turn supports Design Acceptance of the new systems for Airservices and Defence.
In this position, you will liaise with the Contractor(s) for the planning and scheduling of test activities and coordinate customer attendance to test events.
As a key member of the Joint Program Engineering team, you will identify resource requirements for testing activities and co-ordinate tasking/prioritisation in conjunction with the Project Managers, Joint Program Engineering Manager and Joint Program Engineering Leads and have the ability to build and lead a team as required.
You will provide reporting to Project Managers and the Joint Program Engineering Manager. Monitoring/reporting of issues, risks, and escalations for all V&V activities with a solution focused mindset to ensure the work-focus areas align with the specific V&V and Acceptance Project milestones.
The OneSKY CMATS Test Manager will form an integral part of the OneSKY CMATS Joint Program Engineering Team, adopting a system wide approach. You will support Safety and Security in delivering and maintaining high quality safety artefacts to assist the Defence design acceptance strategy and Airservices record of Safety, Environmental, WHS, Risk, and Compliance excellence.

The Person
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or commensurately experienced.
- Be eligible for registration at the chartered level by a recognised professional body.
- Be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in relevant area of engineering in accordance with relevant legislation e.g. Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ).
- Manage a large volume of engineering tasks without loss/drops.
- Manage direct reports of a small team of junior and senior engineers.
- Evaluate resource needs and advocate for them to leadership.
- A high level of engineering technical written and verbal communication skills.
- Develop and present innovative solutions.
- Understand systems engineering processes.
- Experience in the Air Traffic Control and/or Airport Tower Control systems engineering fields.
- Experience in testing and/or delivery of complex Engineering programs in Air Traffic Management or similar domains.
