AddressAt Downer Rail and Transit Systems, we're dedicated to delivering excellence in rail projects. We are currently seeking a Testing and Commissioning Team Leader to lead our Testing &Commissioning Reliability Team.
In this role, you will ensure that all works are completed punctually and meet our stringent quality standards.
As the Testing and Commissioning Team Leader, you'll spearhead a high-performing team, prioritising the achievement of planned outcomes, fostering continual growth among team members' skills, and adeptly managing resources in alignment with the test strategy.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing engineering changes, procedures, and schedules.
- Assigning work to technicians and ensuring seamless handover between shifts.
- Organising train movements and facility operations as required.
- Managing defects and overseeing their resolution.
- Maintaining the configuration baseline through established processes and executing approved engineering changes with required regression testing.
- Collaborating and influencing across multiple teams to ensure the excellent quality delivery of engineering changes.
- Meeting targets for workplace and facility inspections using Lucidity or similar tools.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the Testing and Commissioning process.
What You Bring:
- A trade qualification or bachelor's degree in engineering. Testing and Commissioning experience is essential, with sound knowledge of rolling stock systems being ideal.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling you to liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate Testing and Commissioning activities into project plans seamlessly.
- A proactive approach and experience in managing and resolving technical issues.
- Knowledge of relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- A proven track record as a high performer, with a broad range of experience and respect from peers. You should possess the ability to influence, motivate, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
