You will be responsible for the testing management of medium size/complexity change initiatives within Charters or Practices, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality change for our internal and external customers. You will provide guidance and mentoring for less senior members of the Quality Engineering team and will provide advice and recommendations to team members and other stakeholders.
As a LQE you’ll get to…
- Manage testing scope of delivery a medium sized projects.
- Provide technical and guidance on Quality Engineering Tools, Techniques and Processes, to colleagues working within cross-functional teams, other Quality Engineering personnel, Service Owners, Delivery Owners, and Project Managers. This includes technical direction for your testing specialisation, and test automation.
- Coordinate and collaborate across Services, providing Quality Engineering management for medium size/complexity delivery initiatives; and supporting Quality Engineering Managers in larger/more complex initiatives, by collaborating with business and technical stakeholders (including architects) to understand scope, and defining appropriate test approach including if relevant for your specialisation and scope, estimation and managing testing budget.
- Deliver using standards, frameworks, and templates, using the tools supported by the Enterprise Testing Service team.
- Learn and grow test automation skills to be able to effectively apply automation in delivery.
About you
You’ll have:
- Test Lead experience and/experience in software engineering/technical management.
- Coaching and mentoring of others in automation.
- Delivery management experience.
- Desirable to have experience in non-functional testing (essential if the project brief role requirement is for a non-functional testing)
- Experienced in using one or more of: CI/CD tools; SQL; Cloud engineering/Cloud testing.
- Deep knowledge of tools including Jira, Confluence, test automation tools, test management tools such as Q Test, Tosca and Service Virtualisation.
