About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting, new opportunity for a Lead Test and Integration Engineer to join our program based in Melbourne, reporting to the Project Engineering Manager.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

You will be responsible for leading the testing and Integration of our software team's latest innovations, being responsible for bringing our newest autonomous systems to life.

Build upon your leadership skills as you lead the Test and Integration team to complete assigned engineering tasks in a professional manner.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop test requirements, test plans, test cases, and test procedures for new autonomous systems.
• Develop evidence to support safety certification of new autonomous systems.
• Complete the integration and testing of various aspects of new autonomous systems.
• Ensure occupational health and safety of all integration and testing activities.
• Manage, in consultation with the Program Engineering Manager, assigned laboratory spaces.
• Ensure all test equipment is maintained and calibrated to meet the needs of the project.

About YOU

You will have formal qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline such as Aerospace, Mechatronics, Software, Electronics, or Software.

You will have extensive experience using DOORS and IBM Engineering Test Manager.

You will have been a critical part of, and perhaps have lead previous Test and Integration activities for moderate to large systems and have been working as a professional engineer for at least the last 10 years.

Bonus Extras

Having all or some of the below will make you stand out from the crowd:

• Experience in autonomous systems
• Experience in safety critical systems design and related standards such as ARP4754A, ARP94910, DO-178C and DO-331
• Chartered Professional Engineer
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional
• Australian Government Security Clearance to Negative Vet Level 1 or eligibility to obtain
