Testing & Commissioning Planner

CYP Design & Construction Joint Venture (CYP D&C) has been contracted to design and build the tunnels and stations for the Metro Tunnel Project.

CYP D&C brings together three of Australia's leading construction partners John Holland, Lendlease, and Bouygues Construction.

The Metro Tunnel Project will untangle the City Loop by taking three of Melbourne's busiest train lines through a new tunnel under the city. It will create a new end-to-end train line from Sunbury to Cranbourne/Pakenham, with twin nine-kilometre tunnels and five new underground stations at Arden (to be renamed North Melbourne), Parkville, Anzac, and two new CBD stations - State Library and Town Hall - which will directly connect to the City Loop.

We are looking for a Planner to coordinate the Planning of the CYP D&C T&C activities working from our Bourke Street project head office.

Responsibilities of the role include;

• Oversee the T&C planning and progress reporting,
• Develop and keep up to date the sequence of T&C activities to be implemented on P6 program
• Develop and keep up to date the various progress report trackers related to the CYP-D&C T&C activities.
• Support the Precinct MEP Project Managers and the Rail Tunnel and Fitout Project Manager with the provision of the progress information they require to manage their MEP Subcontractors.

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Management, Engineering, Construction or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years in construction project planning role
• Previous experience on major multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
• Engineering/construction/operational knowledge
• Appropriate Technical qualifications
• Strong IT skills (Primavera, MS Project, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Proven administration skills
• Experience in managing large quantity of data
