Melbourne Private Hospital is seeking experienced Theatre Technician's to join our Perioperative Services Team with casual positions available. About us Melbourne Private Hospital is a 124 bed private hospital co-located with the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care, cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and general surgery. These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit. Theatre Technician responsibilities will include: · Delivering excellent service and care to patients · Liaise within a multi-disciplinary team · Proven ability to work well within a team · Ensuring patient and staff safety · Sound knowledge of theatre equipment and safe use practices · Proven troubleshooting skills · Possess organisational skills and complete documentation to a high standard · Will adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective and economic running of the peri operative service. Essential Criteria: · Previous experience as a Theatre Technician · Working with Children check · Commitment to Quality Patient Care · Compliance with ACQSHC National standards · Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills · Excellent communication and customer service skills · Works well independently and within a team · Must possess a Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support) Why Healthscope?When you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care.
