TIWI RANGER (WURRUMIYANGA) ******NO ACCOMODATION AVAILABLE****** not gender specific
1. Assist with all land and sea management activities on the Tiwi Islands as outlined in the annual
Tiwi Rangers and Tiwi Islands IPA work plan, including but not limited to weed management, fire
management, biodiversity surveys, biosecurity activities, feral animal control, removing rubbish
from beaches and waterholes, presenting at Tiwi schools, assisting researchers and visitors on the
Tiwi Islands, and attending meetings and conferences.
2. Assist with regular patrols of the land, coast and river inlets and assist with the observations,
recording and reporting of fisheries violations or other compliance related activities.
3. Undertake training as directed by Tiwi Resources.
4. Keep and maintain a diary of land and sea management activities, and training activities,
including uploading photographs and information onto the shared Ranger team reporting system.
5. Assist with the operation and maintenance of a vehicles, vessels and other equipment associated
with the position.
6. Other duties related to the position, as directed, including assisting with land and sea
management activities over all of the Tiwi Islands and with all of the Tiwi Ranger team.
