D&T Hydraulics is a local family owned cylinder repair & manufacturing business. The company employs over 100 highly skilled employees from Boilermakers, Welders, Fitters, Machinists, Draftspeople and TA's. This dedicated workforce is supported by technical, sales and support staff guaranteeing projects and the workforce is managed in a professional manner without compromising, quality, safety or the environment. We require a motivated & experienced Toolmakers to join our expanding facility.
We are highly reputable and boast a modern workshop with excellent working and pay conditions.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Be an experienced, trade qualified Toolmaker preferably with experience in repair of hydraulic cylinders and components - Machining or - tell us where your strengths are;
Extensive experience with or on manual lathes;
Experience on horizontal borers desirable;
Cylindrical grinding experience desirable;
Experience with general Mig welding a distinct advantage;
Have an ability to read and interpret drawings;
Able to use measuring equipment;
Be highly motivated;
Have a good work ethic;
Be able to work unsupervised and also follow directions provided by Supervisors;
Mentor apprentices
Have a strong attention to detail;
Be able to work in a team environment;
Have drivers licence and own transport
Be committed to safety & quality policies and procedures and
Minimum of 3-Years industry experience is required.
Preferable:-
Rigging and Dogging Ticket
Forklift licence
