Qualifications & experience
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or equivalent
- Proven experience in Professional kitchens preferably within Aged Care and Healthcare settings
- Food Safety Certificate, preferably advanced or supervisor
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements with a preferable strong working knowledge of the IDDSI framework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to accommodate changing needs and schedules.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious and appetising meals in Aged Care, Hotels, and Hospitality.
- Cater to dietary restrictions and preferences while meeting nutritional needs.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure proper food storage, handling, and portion control.
- Responsible for food safety and ensuring the kitchen staff maintains hygiene standards.
- Ensure staff are aware of and follow safe work practices at all times
- Collaborate with management to implement special events or themed meals
