Activities are plentiful, everything from fly-fishing to a gourmet master-class. The surroundings have more than 20 walking trails to explore and suit every level of fitness.
About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a passionate and talented Tours and Activities Guide to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guided nature walks, nature slide shows, night spotlight tours, and other interpretative activities designed to enhance guests' understanding, appreciation, and passion for the natural environment.
- Act as an information source, answering questions related to Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge, as well as the history and ecology of the surrounding area.
- Continuously update your knowledge of the region to ensure accuracy and currency.
- Conduct all activities in an environmentally sensitive manner with minimal impact on the environment.
- Comply with Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge Occupational Health, Emergency Response, Safety Regulations, and Safety and Environmental Procedures.
- Participate in training or education to perform tasks safely, following reasonable instructions or procedures related to health and safety.
- Provide guided nature walks in a safe and professional manner.
- Manage the Tours and Activities business unit and take responsibility for performance.
About you
Essential:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence with minimum Light Rigid classification.
- Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) Ancillary Certificate.
- A passion for Tasmania’s natural areas and wildlife.
- Ability to learn and retain relevant information supporting the role.
- Provide First Aid Certification.
Desirable:
- Qualifications in Conservation and Environmental management or similar.
- Provide First Aid in Remote Locations certification.
- 4WD operation experience.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol.
