Form of workTours Tasmania is seeking a casual Tour Guide/Driver to lead Active Day Tours based from Launceston.
Our Tour Guiding position is available for 2-3 days a week or 5-6 days a fortnight. We operate tours Monday to Friday only, no weekend work. Our tours operate year-round. This is not a short term or seasonal job. Our outgoing Tour Guide has been with our family run business for more than 10 years, and we are seeking a potential long-term employee with an easy going nature and a love for this style of work.
Our Tour Guides are passionate about Tasmania’s National Parks, wild places and diverse local produce and attractions. We value Tour Guides who are knowledgeable with broad life experiences, who will deliver fun, active tour itineraries to a wide demographic of guests. Leadership skills, and outdoor experience are essential for this work.
We operate Day Tours that explore:
- Cradle Mountain National Park
- Freycinet National Park
Essential Requirements for our Tour Guides:
- Light Rigid Driving License (min.)
- Current First Aid Qualifications
- Public Passenger Ancillary Certificate
- Working with Vulnerable people
- Confident, experienced, and competent driver of tour vehicles with trailers
Tour Guides need to be physically fit, outgoing, and professional with excellent people skills. A good knowledge of Tasmania's National Parks and day walking trails is a bonus.
Applicants need to be experienced with driving tour vehicles or similar – Toyota Commuter, Toyota Coaster, and handling trailers. We can not consider your application if you do not have the necessary LR Vehicle License or PPV endorsement on your license.
